The inspiration

The shapes aren’t anything in themselves, it’s the combinations that I find interesting I have many series of paintings and drawings in my studio which have developed in this way.

About the artist

Clive studied at Glasgow School of Art from 1973 to 1977. For the last 35 years, working as a graphic designer in London and Glasgow. Having recently retired from his job as a designer, Clive has returned to his first love of painting and set up a studio in Glasgow's 'Merchant City' quarter. Over the years, Clive has had design work exhibited in international exhibitions, notably at the Graphic Design Biennale in Brno and also in Osaka, Munich, Jerusalem and Glasgow. Clive is a member of the Chartered Society Of Designers and also the Association of Illustrators.
