Henri Rousseau became the unlikely hero of the Parisian avant-garde for his "naïve" style and enigmatic themes. Our Sheffield artists have taken Henri's iconic piece ‘Woman Walking in Exotic Forest’ - and turned it Sheffield, with the genius addition of our very own Winter Gardens.

Monet, a passionate horticulturist, began a series of 18 views of the wooden footbridge over his pond in 1899.

This is the unveiling of the 19th view depicted by our Sheffield artists, of the Waterlilies situated under Kelham Island's Ball Street Bridge. Look closely at our Sheffield artists' take on the iconic painting, and you'll see a man crossing the Kelham Island bridge with his trusty greyhound in tow, and the Ukrainian flag draped over the bridge in solidarity with our friends overseas.
