Although I'm drawn to the natural world there's something really impressive about Kelham Island and the people and businesses bringing life back to the area. It feels so buzzy and vibrant and I love any excuse to explore!

The inspiration

This scene is a mixture of some of the more famous sights combined together (Green Lane Works, Ball St bridge and the Chimney House) to make a relaxing sunset scene complete with drinkers, a whippet and some ducks and swans enjoying a swim! Although I'm drawn to the natural world there's something really impressive about Kelham Island and the people and businesses bringing life back to the area. It feels so buzzy and vibrant and I love any excuse to explore!

About the artist

I’m a freelance Illustrator and collage artist originally from London, now living in Sheffield. I’ve worked on a diverse range of projects from my first commission for Paperchase, an album cover for Stereovenus (featuring singer Rumer),Cheltenham Festivals and Microsoft to name a few I’m particularly proud of. My style is graphic, colourful, nostalgic and quirky, often characterized by including animals, hidden details and a narrative element. I find inspiration almost anywhere; from the natural world and my urban surroundings, to stylish Art Deco architecture, psychedelic posters of the 60's and the wallpapers of William Morris. My illustrations are created using a variety of techniques including drawing, paper collage, paint and Photoshop, whilst maintaining the same eye catching and uplifting feel. You can purchase my designs as prints, greeting cards and other gifts as well as bespoke illustrations and originals on request.

Postage is free. As we’re handling fragile artworks, we carefully wrap all pieces and only use a signed service for all of our shipping.

The Art Post premise is simple

The Art Post is a wax-sealed miniature art gallery right to your doorstep. We're curating and showcasing masterpieces by up and coming artists on postcards. You can either subscribe to our new Emerging Artists edition, or our Sheffield artists edition (where we've been testing the concept!)

You can collect the postcards, frame them (they're printed on high quality card) and of course, send them to friends and family to say a simple thank you or tick all your birthday cards off for the year with a card that can be treasured for life.
