The unmistakeable outline of Harrison Stickle above Great Langdale in the Lake District. It forms one of the three fells which make up the Langdale Pikes. I have been revisiting my photos taken a few years back when we hiked to the top. The painting is an impressionistic work of the view down the approach track. A cluster of little white cottages at the end of the road and layers of rock and windswept vegetation dissected with dry stone walls.
