This drawing is a study from the Hessle foreshore looking across the Humber to Lincolnshire. Another ‘Border’ image showing the meeting of sky, land, and river water. I deliberately kept the layout simple, concentrating on marks and colour. I’m exploring the difference to mood and time as Monet did with his images of haystacks. These images will be part of a mini-series ‘Views Through a Window’, perhaps from a train, part of the Humber’s journey to the sea.
