Dungeness is a vast shingle spit and quite an otherworldly place, a place of tiny homes under big skies, of nuclear power and abandoned shacks, humming power lines and pounding waves. It is one of my favourite places in Kent, the bleaker the weather the better!

The inspiration

Dungeness is a vast shingle spit and quite an otherworldly place, a place of tiny homes under big skies, of nuclear power and abandoned shacks, humming power lines and pounding waves. It is one of my favourite places in Kent, the bleaker the weather the better!

About the artist

I am a self-taught printmaker, working and teaching from my kitchen studio in Kent, alongside my day job as a speech therapist. I make small, thoughtful prints which are often based on my love of exploring. I see beauty in the bleak, the old and the ordinary. Many of my prints feature things I find - fossils, roadside flowers, old bottles and vintage kitchen items. I love teaching printmaking for all ages and abilities and I run workshops at home and in local schools.

Postage is free. As we’re handling fragile artworks, we carefully wrap all pieces and only use a signed service for all of our shipping.

The Art Post premise is simple

The Art Post is a wax-sealed miniature art gallery right to your doorstep. We're curating and showcasing masterpieces by up and coming artists on postcards. You can either subscribe to our new Emerging Artists edition, or our Sheffield artists edition (where we've been testing the concept!)

You can collect the postcards, frame them (they're printed on high quality card) and of course, send them to friends and family to say a simple thank you or tick all your birthday cards off for the year with a card that can be treasured for life.
